Unfortunately I am still new to all of this, and failed to backup my private key. I recently lost my laptop (just stopped powering on) so I got a new computer.

I hooked up my old hard drive to my new computer hoping that my wallet and everything would still be there. However, I am unable to access my wallet with my coins on it.

I can not find a wallet.dat file anywhere on the old hard drive, not even under %appdata%.

Attached is a photo of what I am seeing on my old hard drive under appdata. From what I understand, I should be seeing .dat at the end of these files but I'm not..?

Is there anyway for me to save my coins?

    PLEASE HELP

    Thanks

Dude, it's there at the bottom. The extension is listed to the right.

I've followed the instructions, I've taken the wallet file and pasted into the 'data' folder. Re-downloaded the XBY wallet, uploaded the entire new blockchain, and still seeing an empty wallet. The wallet.dat file at the bottom that you see is showing 88kb.

Could you let us know how you solved it, for future reference?
