The mac wallet will be updated in the coming days prior to the testnet starting on Friday the 17th, once updated the link will be updated accordingly.

    TEST-NET SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

1 - Download the latest version of the wallet. If you have not already downloaded from github, please download from here. Once you have this version you are up to date.

    WINDOWS - https://www.xtrabytes.global/wallets/xtrabytes-qt-1.2.0.3.exe
    LINUX - https://www.xtrabytes.global/wallets/xtrabytes-qt-linux-1.2.0.3
    MAC/OSX - https://github.com/borzalom/XtraBYtes/releases/download/pre-v1.2.0.2/xtrabytes-Qt-OSX-v1202.dmg

2 - Copy the wallet executable file to your XBY directory i.e.; D:\xby and double click on the file.

Don't worry that you see your coins, they are not affected by the testing.

If you have done your setup previously, during testnet group opening, you do not need to change anything since the current instructions result in the same setup.

Keep in mind that this initial step is done with the real wallet which has a patch applied. This is because we need to access the original chain and create TEST keypairs. You can treat this like any other wallet upgrade and having coins or not on the wallet.dat makes no difference.

Further to the setup of the keypairs. If anyone has already done this, it is important that they do not do it again and if so, to inform us because Borz now has the list as of 10.22.2017 which he will load now for testing.

3 - Open the wallet and go to "Register STATIC node"

Click the GET TEST KEYPAIRS button at the bottom.

SAVE YOUR KEYS TO A WORD DOCUMENT.

Send your public key to @Yankee Ruin X by Direct Message

4 - Wait for Borz to supply the TEST CLIENT where we will continue the test and roll out more info.

Will you later let us know what kind of actions we should perform to actually test the network?

I'm sure it will be promoted heavily when the next test is ready to go.

We will be doing various tasks to test the strength of the network, maybe even splitting into 2 teams focussing on different sections and coordinated transaction spams and other things. Naturally we are going to try and make this fun too so more people will want to help out :grinning:

Count me in, I wasn't able to participate in the last round of testing but I now have some more free time to throw at this.

Awesome, at the end of the day anyone interested in XBY's future should try and help out with this if they can as we want to throw everything we possibly can at it to try and break it so the more people the better :relaxed:

Should I have a wallet without any XBY in?
Or is it ok to set the Test up with the wallet that has my XBY stored?

It is ok when your wallet has xby because the testnet will not affect them.
YOU'd better backup your wallet before test.

During first test net I just loaded a wallet on a separate computer. Not sure if its an option for you but good way to be safe.

    Thanks :)

Yes I was thinking maybe to test on either a separate Laptop or my free Amazon VPS
Are there specific computer specs needed to run the test?

New wallet downloaded and ready to test!
If we're not 100% sure if we generated test keypairs already, is there any way for us to verify that we're on the list?

Ok good people, this is my first time doing anything more than buying and selling coins, but i really love what i've read about Proof of Signature so i want to get involved here. Just hoping someone can confirm i've done everything fine and set my noob mind at ease. I've downloaded the client as per instructions (no previous wallet on my computer). I've only installed the xtrabytes-qt-1.2.0.3, not XFUEL, is this ok? I saw the message above, but XFUEL is not in the link in the instructions at the top.

I ran the 'get test keypairs' and it spent about half an hour doing something (i guessed downloading the blockchain, though i can't find it anywhere). I'll now send my public key off, and that's it? I'll get a message at some point when the testing is to begin explaining what i need to do? Thanks in advance!
